About Us – Meet the Family Behind WP Welding

At WP Welding, we believe in doing honest work for honest people — and that starts with family. We’re Fred and Ashley Holland, proud owners of WP Welding, based in Gatesville, Texas and serving communities across Central Texas. We’ve been married for nearly 19 years and are raising two amazing kids: Willow (17) and Punch (14).

Fred graduated from Tulsa Welding School in 2001 and brings over 20 years of hands-on welding experience to the business. From fabrication and structural welding to mobile repairs and ranch-ready equipment fixes, he’s built a reputation on quality, reliability, and showing up when people need him.

Growing up farming and ranching, Fred understands the kind of work our customers do — and what it takes to keep operations running smoothly. Whether it’s welding in the shop or repairing heavy equipment out in the field, he’s committed to doing the job right the first time.

WP Welding has been family owned and operated for 6 years, and we’re proud to serve our neighbors across Gatesville, Lampasas, Burnet, Stephenville, Hillsboro, and beyond. From custom fabrication to mobile welding for emergency repairs, we bring skill, experience, and strong Texas values to every job.

Ashley brings her own experience and dedication to the business. After 10 years as a dental assistant, she’s spent the last 8 years working for the County as a paralegal — balancing professionalism, detail, and care in all that she does — She's the glue that holds WP Welding together!

Outside of work, we enjoy fishing and camping at the lake and Port O’Connor, checking cows, catching outdoor concerts, and working on projects at home. Whether we’re helping a neighbor fix a busted gate or spending time with family and friends, we believe in putting in the effort and taking pride in what we build — both in our business and our lives.
